Katadyn is a leading manufacturer of efficient and convenient water desalination systems. A watermaker uses a process called reverse osmosis to turn salt water into fresh drinking water. Katadyn makes several models, both hand and electric powered, for every purpose from lifeboat or emergency kit to long distance ocean cruising. (These are the same watermakers that used to be called PUR Survivor.)
Katadyn manual watermakers are intended for both emergency use and applications where electrical power isn't available. No survival kit or liferaft should be without a Katadyn Survivor watermaker. Compact, lightweight, and easy to operate, they will supply the drinking water you need to help prevent dehydration or even loss of life.
The PowerSurvivor 40E is the only powered watermaker that converts to manual operation in emergencies.
Only 12-volt PowerSurvivors are normally imported to the USA. If you need a 24-volt unit, we can special order it for you, but it takes about a month longer, and the price is slightly higher.
